Sorry, I have not posted anything in awhile… so I shall share a little something! :)

In the times that I know in my heart that I’m being prideful about something by not acknowledging I’m wrong, and not really willing to do anything about it, I pray to God to humble me. Yes, as dangerous as this prayer may be… I guess it’s just like how else can I get out of this pride? It’s almost like I have this expectation that with every prideful situation I find myself in, I’m like ugh God, shake me because I don’t know how else to get rid of it. So once I kept praying for God to humble me… I was expecting like okay, gear up for this. This may be a super lame analogy, but here goes: It’s like when you need to talk to your teacher about turning some assignment in late (which I am more experienced in than I should be…) or asking your parents permission for something, and expecting all of them to say no. But then your teacher or your parents are surprisingly easy-going about it. They just say, oh okay, sure. And you’re like HUH? AREN’T YOU GOING TO SAY NO AND TELL ME HOW IRRESPONSIBLE I AM OR SOMETHING?

So as I was waiting for God to basically do something like that to humble me. Silly me. ACTUALLY He surprises me with love. God is like oh dear Emily, let me remind you of something.  I’m a LOVING and GRACIOUS God. I’m not here to punish you or to make you feel bad about your pride. Girl, I’m just going to bless you with loving sisters that will humble you, in a way that you don’t expect (because He does that, you know). They’re going to love on you and you’re going to take it in and be my beautiful daughter and you’re going to like it (run-on sentences ain’t got nothing on God, so there’s that).

1. God was so good to me todayyyyy. I do not know how I had any energy for this day. I only had a few breaks between things, but God carried me through :) Thank you Goddddddddddd.

2. Basically had an anxiety-free all-nighter. Productive. Yay got stuff done and didn’t freak out. Woot woot.

3. OMG I LOVE MY GEOGRAPHY PROFESSOR. She is so amazing and I look up to her so much. I applaud teachers that genuinely care for their students. :)

4. My bed is like one of my closest friends… but it’s hard because it’s like we have long-distance relationship sometimes. It makes me appreciate my bed so much more though. 

5. So I really like air heads. Thank you God for air heads. Yummy candy.

Just some more things I’m thankful for :)

1. 1 John 5:2-5

2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

I had a good quiet time this morning. These are just some verses that stood out to me because it reminds me of that Hillsong song that goes “the same power that conquered the grave lives in me” sooo good :)

2. I really enjoy the warm-ups for rehearsal. They’re just fun :)

3. Chocolate cake, esp. when I was just thinking about sweeeetts heehee. 

4. MOVIES. Guhhhh I love watching movies and talking about movies. 

5. He is restoring the joy of my salvation. 

6. I guess what has been troubling me lately is how fast my day can go up, then down and how easily I just how easily my mood just goes with that. I think God is teaching me how to trust Him, no matter how stressful things get, or whatever. What’s awesome is that God isn’t like “see, I told you so,” but He says, “I’m teaching you to trust me, because you can. Always. I’m providing for you with what you really need, but remember that might not always be what you think it’ll be. So keep going, and keep trusting.”

Since I was reminded of how I haven’t done this in awhile :) Things I’m thankful for today :

1. Even though rehearsal was super tiring today, it made me feel really good about the show! :) So I’m thankful for how rehearsal went and how people outside reacted to it haha.

2. God’s timinggg. He knows what I need and will provide in His time, and sometimes it’s so clear at that moment how perfect that timing is. :)))

3. Boba that isn’t overwhelmingly sweet is good. I like that. I got enough sweetness with my boba anyway teehee…

4. Uggghhhh so grateful for home home. It was rejuvenating.

5. Thank you GOD for my super awesome MOM who’s doing medical missions in Africa. She is so admirable and encouraging to me.
